I work in Scotland, but I get the opportunity to travel to other places, like America and Sweden, to meet other researchers and present my work

I travel for leisure, but I have only worked in England. I have been at school in France and University in USA (I was paid as a Teaching Assistant in USA – I taught physics labs to undergraduates). I have attended conferences in USA.

I work mainly in England, although last year I went over to Switzerland for a couple of months to work with some other researchers who were doing something similar to me. That was in the winter so it was good for the skiing! I’ve also been to several countries to present my work at international conferences, where scientists from around the world find out what each other are doing and share ideas. I usually try to take a holiday when I’m out there, as work has already paid my air fare!

I currently just work in England but later this year I am hoping to go and work in Australia and New Zealand for a few months as part of my course- which will be hopefully lots of fun.
