I think you would need to go to university and then possibly move on to industry (factories making medical devices for example) to get an idea how that area works and then hopefully come up with your own idea and business.

The easiest way is to study a science subject at university. Plenty of opportunities arise from there. I would advise anyone who is really interested to go and look for relevant work experience or get involved with any projects that you can. Another good tip is to join scientific bodies as a student member (eg IPEM/ IoP). Information on opportunities in the specific field you are looking into may be advertised on those relevant forums.

Study science at university, and also just follow any ideas or projects that you find interesting!

I would like to know what kind of science business you are thinking of? Currently one of my colleagues is spinning out a company from the NHS.. which he did on his own!
