I was using MRI to visualise blood flowing through the carotids. ( The blood vessels in your neck).

I am currently designing a phantom for an experiment . Its pretty exciting and I have to learn how to draw 3D diagrams on CAD ! Haven’t done the experiment yet but I’m predicting it’s gonna be a good one!

Scientifically – designing a coil for MRI mouse brain imaging. But in real life my best experiment was seeing which member of my family it took the least time to realise I’d eaten all the malteaser celebreations from the tin at Christmas time. That was an extremely enjoyable experiment I must say!

that’s a superb question as often I can’t see the forest through the trees, or here the trees through the forest. best experiment ever was probably my first experiment where I got a molecular technique called western blotting to work. It took me ages to learn how to do it and I had to optimise all sorts of settings just to get a black blob on photographic film. I was jumping up and down all day that day with a big smile on my face. My then-boyfriend didn’t quite get it….

I remember at university we had to build a (very bad) computer from scratch using just wires, transistors etc, then programme it using (hexadecimal) machine code to add 2 numbers. I think it took us 2 days – it sounds incredibly boring but has left me with a huge appreciation for modern computers!
