It’s great! That’s the honest answer. One of the best things is that science is a growing area – there is always new research taking place and new problems being solved. That means that as a scientist there is always new information to work with – never a dull moment.

Doing my job, which is working as a scientist in a hospital, is even better (I think anyway!). In this job everyday we get to use the research carried out by other scientists to help cure sick patients. It’s science in action 🙂

I enjoy it! Although sometimes when I tell other people that I’m a physicist .. it can stop a conversation.. which can be quite awkward.

I think the best part of being a scientist is understanding how everything works. I’m always asking how or why and I get great satisfaction when I can explain something quite difficult!

It is great, but super stressful too. The hours aren’t always fun but the people you meet and the fun you have doing the work makes it all worth it.

It is different every day. But the right answer i think is that the job can change dramatically depending where you are working at !
