Hi! An MRI scanner is a machine used in hospitals to generate images of inside a patients body (like an image of their heart or brain.) It uses a giant magnet and radiowaves to do this. The magnet is cyclindrical in shape and the patient lies insied it – pretty cool! MRI stands for magnetic resonance imaging by the way – fun fact for a table quiz!
