Question: where do snails come from?

Interesting question, I must admit I had to look this up.
From what I found snails started out as sea creatures roaming the sea floor before they evolved and came on land. This happened around 550 million years ago (550,000,000 years) so they have been around much longer than humans!

The earliest snail species originated in shallow waters. As water sources dried up they developed lungs and starting living on land.
