        crystal is the name given to a solid material where its atoms or molecules are joined together in a very regular and order way. So for example, the salt that you may put on your chips tonight is a bunch of small crystals of something called sodium chloride. And also when you freeze water to make ice cubes, those are like crystals of water.

        So crystals are a special group of materials and we can make lots of different crystals!
