Experimenting in the lab. It’s brilliant!

Being able to play around with chemicals and equipment which is worth thousands of pounds is really fun, it’s even better when you discover something unexpected.
I also really enjoy teaching. When you explain something to someone and they understand it perfectly, it gives me a really good feeling.

      Thanks!

Exploring new things. I’m really curious, have been since I was a kid, so I love to learn about new things.

Sometimes I’m in the lab running an experiment. Sometimes I’m reading work other scientists have done to learn stuff that might help me. Sometimes I’m visiting a nuclear reactor to do some experiments there. It can be boring, but it can also be absolutely fascinating and I love it.

Mine would be chemistry. I love finding out how different reactants are mixed together to make different things. Everything from our televisions to our clothes our products from chemical reactions.

My favourite part of science is mixing chemicals together and seeing what happens. The best parts have been where I have made something nobody has made before.
