Question: I am asking you this question as you do laser based experiments in your lab. Were lasers just invented for alarms or were they invented for something else too?

  The idea of lasers was thought up by a famous scientist you might have heard of – Albert Einstein. Lasers produce light that has some special properties that make it ideal for lots of different type of experiment in the lab. Because of the special light that lasers give us, lots of people helped with the invention of lasers to be used in experiments. Only fairly recently have lasers started to be used for alarms and other things that we might find in the shops today.
