        Extremely hot.

A recent study found it to be around 6000 degree centigrade, which is the same as the surface of the sun! This was found by looking at earthquake data – not really sure how!

The central core is made up iron crystals which is then surrounded by an outer core which is liquid iron.

        Thanks!
