        This will depend on the type of light bulb. For older type of bulbs it takes a certain amount of time for the electricity to make the wire hot enough to send out light. This happens on a short times scale of approx. ~0.1 seconds. Other types of light bulb may take longer (fluorescent bulbs) and others might light up more quickly (LED).
