        I have yes.

        Every now and then I try and teach myself how to code. There are some really good websites that can teach you how to code and it is a really good skill to have. It is tough to learn though, it’s like learning a new language.
        I don’t have to code at my current job but it could be really important for any future jobs. It is also just really fun!

        If you want to learn you should go for it, it’s a really important skill.

        I found coding very interesting at high school. Most coders earn money designing websites and computer programs for companies, but many make a big difference in science. The worlds largest experiment: the large hadron collider at CERN http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Large_Hadron_Collider accelerates particles and then smashes them together, and tries to detect the results. Physicists need coders to control the machine and help understand the data that is being generated by the detectors.
        A very useful job.

        No I think it would be too difficult for me! This is a good thing to know so if your interested keep up with it. I think it would be a good job 🙂

        I haven’t ever wanted to become a coder as a job, but sometimes coding a simple program helps me out in the lab. So I dig out a few books and learn myself again how to do the basics.

        It is a useful skill to have in itself, however I think more importantly, it gets you thinking in a different way about problems. So I would recommend you give coding a go if it is something that interests you!

        I actually do a little bit of coding as part of my work. I find it really interesting and it’s something I’d really like to do more of but I don’t have the time and it’s quite difficult to learn.
