• Question: How many organisms are in the world today?

      Hello Beach,

      Do you mean how many different species or how many individual? I don’t think that anybody knows for sure. Think about all the plants that have not been identified yet, all the marine species that we never came across before. There is also the problem of extinction, some organisms go extinct without us ever meeting them. Another thing to bear in mind is all the microorganisms i.e. bacteria and viruses, how do we count those since they continuously change!! The short answer to your question is LOADS 😉
