• Question: HOW DID YOU MAKE FLIES?

      Hi Rash,
      sorry maybe my answer wasnt clear, I didnt make a fly I actually made a fly transgenic which means that I put in a fly a gene from a krill. The way to do it is to inject a constrcut which is a piece of DNA into the fly egg. This hopefully gets integrated into the genome and as the fly grows it expresses that gene in all or a subset of it’s cells. Does this make sense?
