  It all depends on what it’s for and how complicated it needs to be. When learning the gene networks, I probably took more than a year to get everything working right, and fully happy how everyting was working. Then it takes minutes to learn a model for a new dataset, for a different selection of genes, relating to a different subnetwork, or from a completely different dataset.
