• Question: How did you make a worm glow green and red at the same time?

      You can get worms to express genes, if you inject them with the DNA coding for that gene. I injected the genes coding for a green glowing and red glowing protein. However, for the experiment I was doing, we had to get the genes directly into the chromosomes of the worms. This took a while and was done by irrading them with UV light and picking the worms that were glowing 🙂
