0 Question: why do plants have pollen? Keywords: plant, pollen Asked by Kawaii Potato Cat Molly to Paul on 19 Jun 2015.

Pollen is there to protect and carry the plant’s sperm. The pollen takes it to the female part of another plant, where the sperm can be transferred from the pollen to an egg.
