• Question: how hard on a scale of one to ten is it to get into medical school

      It is very competitive, you will likely need top grades in all the sciences and maths, and even that may not be enough – extracurricular activities are really important too.

      I’d also say, once you get in, it’s really hard work. So they look for evidence of you being a hard worker with a good work ethic.

      It’s more competitive than most other subjects and if you had to put it on a scale when compared to the other subjects then I would say 10.

      But if that’s what you want to do then don’t let the difficulty stop you. If you don’t face difficult situations in life then you wont mature and so it’s an important step. Most importantly, if you love med school and that’s what you want to do, then the work wont feel like work and you’ll enjoy and the difficulty will actually drop from 10 right down to 2 or 3.
