Erm yes, but not intentionally. When I was trying a new experiment once I accidentally made a gas that sets on fire and explodes when it mixes with air – luckily I didn’t make very much of it and the explosion was quite small!
I don’t work with chemicals, so I’ve not exploded anything at work. I do crash computer systems though. But I (usually) do it in a controlled way to see how much it can handle.
I don’t think I have exploded something but this question reminds of an experiment I did a couple years ago with a friend which went wrong:
We were working with bacteria near a bunsen burner and as my friend was trying to put bacteria in a plate he forgot the bunsen burner was on and he briefly set the front of his hair on fire. He was unharmed and we all found it very funny afterwards. I also found out that burnt hair doesn’t smell very nice.
