in the beginning it was as simple as finding out what something was made of and Xray analysis was a quick and easy way of doing it. as i learned more about how the machine worked i became interested in the science behind it and ways to make it more useful. developing new ways to look at materials
there’s always a new material to investigate we have looked at swords from a museum to help learn its age. cannon balls for iron content coins- pennies for how Copper amounts have changed through the years. diamonds for carbon. someone brought in a moon rock. insects for industrial contamination. tho mostly we look at catalysts for emissions
