I helped invent something that will be found in a huge number of cars from next year.
Outside of work, I’ve been fortunate to win a few national championships with one of my choirs and got to represent the UK at an international competition.
It is a team achievement, but I am very happy to have contributed to PyBaMM, a software to simulate batteries that is now being used by hundreds of people all over the world.
As part of a team, we’ve invented materials which improve people’s quality oif life, from fixing their spines, improving mobility and reducing or removing pain, fixing broken bones, and more recently figuring out longer-lasting, less expensive, more environmentally friendly knee replacements.
