• Question: In your profile it says that you write code and work in the computing department, however in your CV it doesn't show that you studied computer science. How did you learn the skills you needed and the code that you use?

Well noticed. In my physics degree we learned the python coding language, which is quite common in science & engineering degrees. However, the level of computer science taught was really quite basic and so most of the computer skills I use I had to learn on the job. My department often hires people with some of the skills required and trains them in the areas they require, especially in graduate level roles as graduates are note expected to have a complete skillset. 🙂
