Water wasn’t created as such – it’s a stable form of a combination of oxygen and hydrogen. But it is generally treated to make it suitable for drinking – either with chemicals or biological processes or by a form of osmosis or filtration.

I read somewhere that water was first created in deep space, by reaction of hydrogen molecules with oxygen-containing ones like carbon monoxide. How water came to be on earth is something scientists are still figuring out. Some appears to have come from space, in the form of icy meteorites and asteroids which crashed into the earth, some may have been generated on earth as well.

Water is a naturally occurring product on earth – one of the reasons that planet earth can support life.

most life forms require water or at least moisture. they drink it.

humans process and filter water to remove toxins and impurities to make it safer to drink.

Water is a natural resource, so in this way it was not “created”. What we have now are ways of treating polluted water so we can drink it (there is many approaches to this process).

water is the result of hydrogen reacting with oxygen. Not all water is drinkable, and there needs to be the right balance of minerals etc to make water good to drink
