Question: How many things have you X rayed

I X-ray around 2500 samples a year they are mostly catalyst materials and metals powders.

But i get interesting things sometimes. someone brought in a moon rock. people bring in jewellery to look at gold content. a museum asked us to look at a sword. our site is a very old historic industrial site and we have looked at vintage artefact’s from the 1900s from when chemicals plants where 1st developed here in the north of England

my most interesting thing was probably bees looking for environmental pollution we looked at a bee from the city and a bee from the countryside and you could see nickel and iron present on the fur and legs of the city insect that was not there in the countryside
