      Yes, I used to travel to France to carry out experiments called “neutron diffraction” which is a way of finding out about the crystal structure of materials and where each atom in the crystals is located.

      Yes, I regularly go to conferences to present my work and meet other scientists, which often are abroad. For example, in August I am going to a big maths conference in Japan.

      In my old job with a coffee company I regularly travelled to coffee factories in Europe to try out things. For example a supplier has a new type of packaging, but will it work on our equipment? Does it work better if we run the equipment faster or slower, hotter or colder?
      I mainly worked in Berlin and Czech Republic, but have also travelled to Finland, Sweden, France and Costa Rica
