• Question: Which country is most scientifically advanced?

      I think no one country leads in all areas. Think of india and china, 10 years ago you would not have thought they would make such advances. Ultimatly I think it is the country who spends the most on science. As science depends on money. The UK is very good in this respect, though not across the board.
      Science is very dependant on the economy so look for countries with strong economies.

      Hi Katie

      There is a lot of international cooperation these days so I think any country that is not very poor is just as advanced s as any other.

      That being said some countries have more science infrastructure than others. The UK does very well on universities, but in terms of big science institutes I would say Germany, Japan, the US and China beat us.

      If you treated Europe as a country it would be in the lead hands down. 🙂

      I’m quite proud to be European.

      Hi Katie!

      Some countries have a more developed scientific infrastructure than others (US, UK, Germany and Japan might be an example). However, advancements in science are the result of an international effort, with research groups form several countries collaborating together, therefore every country can contribute to science and be at the forefront.
