Question: If you could buy anything scientific what would it be and why

Well I have always liked old microscopes. Just because they have a lovely mechanical beauty. Also seeing the world differently through them is always interesting.
Other than that, an asteroid. Just the ability to hold something that has had such a long journey in space and has fallen to earth is cool to think about.
