      Well yes and no.
If it does not cause long term suffering to an animal, and has got good scientific reasoning behind it then I have no issue. I do not agree with cosmetic testing as it has no benifit to humanity or even other animals.
I do not work with animals so I don’t have to ask this question of myself. So this is just very much my opinion.
Can you give an example that relates to the topic of this zone “light”? Maybe this will highlight your question better as this is a very broad subject. Imaging animals with x rays would count as testing but there is no harm.

      Hello

I disagree with animal testing where there is an alternative available, or if it is for a frivolous reason (as Dave says, cosmetics), but animal testing is an important step in drug development and in disease cure. The only way we can know what side-effects a drug could have is to put it in a real biological system. Maybe one day we could replace these with computer models, but we are a long way from that yet because organisms, especially more complex ones like mammals, are very very complicated!

      Yes!

In our institute we have thousands of mice who help us find out things about cancer. They are all very well looked after in our mouse hotel department, and they never suffer any pain, and are always handled with love and care.

      Hello!

      Yes and no.

I agree with animal testing only if it is carried out for a very good reason (for example it is done for cancer research) and does not cause unnecessary and excessive suffering to animals.

For all other cases, it don’t agree with animal testing.

      Cheers

      Stef
