• Question: Are superconductors a sustainable way to be mass produced to make floating cars?

      Probably not floating cars that can go anywhere, but maybe trains like the Mag-Lev trains in Japan.

      Superconductors are already in production in quite large quantities and they can certainly be used to create flaring vehicles.

      The discovery that is really needed though is to discover a superconductor that can work at room temperature and under high magnetic fields. The highest operational temperature for a superconductor that we have bite still needs liquid nitrogen to cool it down.
