Genetic modification is when the genetic code of an organism is changed artificially by scientists. Whenever any changes are made there are the possibility of unintended consequences. This is true whether the changes occur naturally or artificially. Possible dangers include introducing new allergens into our food supply, and creating antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria.
