• Question: what are pixels in computers made of and how do they work?

      The can be made of different things depending on the sort of screen. A pixel is just a very small dot of one colour (red, green, blue). Commonly used are LED and LCD – hopefully one of the other scientists will be able to answer the question further, as that’s as much as I know, sorry!

      A pixel (short for picture element or “pix” short for picture) is a single point in a picture, that makes up the image on your TV screen or computer screen.
