      Hi Kammy,

      Thanks for the question!

I found that it was really important to be organised while studying. So have a plan of what you need to study and when you need to study it. I used to create a time-table for myself where I broke down each of the subjects and decided which day I was going to revise which topic of which subject. This helped my mind to really be organised.

Secondly, different things work for different people. I find that I am a really visual person and I like to see things in order to understand them. So I used draw out mind maps and use lots of different colours to help me remember things.

I would also try and start studying well in advance. I found that if I was studying just a few days before the exam, I would not do well at all. When I started studying well in advance a few months before, the information sat better with me and I even had a chance to ask my peers or my teachers about anything that was unclear to me.

After that, I think its important for you to practice past exam questions. It really helps you understand what will be required of you in the exam. Practicing these questions really helped me a lot!

Lastly, don’t be afraid to ask for help, especially from your teachers! Teachers are there to help you and they will usually have been teaching the subject for a long time and know how best to prepare for the exams and how best to do well on them. Spend time with them and they will definitely help you.

Goodluck and I hope you do really well on your GCSE’s!
