I think the first step is to help your friend understand that she may not be treating her body in the best way. Sometimes its difficult to explain it properly so maybe you could show her some educational videos?
I watched this documentary a few months ago called “Fed up”. It was extremely good! Its not boring at all and tells you too much of junk food and processed food such as McDonald’s can be harmful for your body! They explain it simply, I highly recommend it and it was a real eye opener for me. Maybe you can watch it with your friend. There’s another one called That Sugar Film and another one called Cowspiracy. They’re all really good.
Its usually hard to get people to do things if they don’t want to. So its good if you can educate her on why such things might be harmful, when she realises it herself she may be more willing to make a change!
If you are worried about your friend, you should try talking to them. Explain how you feel, and why you are worried. If they are your friend they’ll take your concerns on board. You should try asking them why they eat so much Mcdonalds and see if you can think of something else you could do together instead.
