      Hi LastDinosaurClone – that’s a really fantastic question.

      I think you probably could, if you had the right plasma and enough of it. Lightning is a form of plasma, so if you had a lightning bolt large enough, or had loads of lightning bolts, I think that would eventually cut through the moon.

      We do use ‘plasma cutters’ in engineering to cut different types of metals. So again, if you had a plasma cutter large enough, there is nothing to say you could cut the moon in half!
