Pollen is spread to other plants through the process called pollination. Pollen is so light it can just be blown away by the wind. Insects, birds and animals also help to disperse the pollen. In fact in some cases even you and me are unwittingly carriers of pollen when it sticks to our clothes when we are out walking around or hiking in the woods.
