• Question: why our all of our consciences different? is it something to do with our genes or the way we are brought up as children?

      I reckon it’s to do with a combination of your beliefs, your upbringing, and the sum of all your experiences in your life up to that point. Your genes might also have something to do with it.

      Loads of very clever people have asked this question – they call it the ‘nature:nurture debate’. Most people would argue that both influence our way of thinking and our behaviours. I usually favour nurture, (as the nature side is sometimes a way of parents denying responsibility for their children’s behaviour!) but I would agree that both are important.
