• Question: what is spontaneous combustion and why/how does it happen

      Spontaneous means happening without an apparent trigger, combustion is burning. If we knew how it happened, I guess it wouldn’t be spontaneous?

      It could still be spontaneous if we knew why it happened – spontaneous just means “sudden and without any cause”.
