      Gamma rays are electromagnetic radiation, like radio-waves, light, microwaves and x-rays. You could think of them as ultra-ultra violet light, because they have much shorter wavelengths than violet light.

      They’re electromagnetic radiation with a short wavelength (and lots of energy). They have a shorter wavelength than X-Rays, which in turn are shorter wavelength than UV light.
