      My job has a direct effect on the patients we treat, as I am constantly trying to find ways of improving each individual’s treatment, as well as the general approach to the treatments we do.

      The wider effects on society are less clear. We try to avoid this ‘ideal’ that you would see in beauty clinics or magazines, which I believe has a negative effect on society and instead try and allow our patients to feel more accepted. I also have a (minor) role in informing the way the government approaches regulation of laser clinics, which you may have seen in the news a little recently.
