There are many programmes being carried out at present from all sorts of different angles. I’m not so familiar with their successes, but I come across funding opportunities for it occasionally when I am looking to fund projects of my own.

There are probably lots of research programmes because lots of people are probably trying to cure it in different ways. They’ll all have their own idea, and will have worked to get funding from research councils or governments to try and make their ideas work.

Lots of stem cell research, that’s really promising and will hopefully make a big breakthrough very soon!
