• Question: If we didn't have computers were would the world be, Technology wise?

      We could have got to the moon still I think without computers. And cars, trains, planes etc were made before computers. Even phones were around then.

      For most things, we would have found another way. For things like reading genetic code, I think they are essential.

      We’d be a lot further behind than we are today. The internet had brought about a communications revolution in the last 30 years, and so many things are possible today that just were not, even 15 years ago.
      Recently I was hunting through some archives at work and found a file from when they were developing a new product in 1996. All the information about the components had to be faxed from the suppliers to the engineers working to do the design. Today, it’s available with the click of a button on the supplier’s website.
