We are learning very quickly about the brain, there is loads of cool research going on at the moment.

At the moment, we understand that certain functions and though processes are associated with different parts of the cortex (the outer, white layer) and that the brain will adapt and change through our lives with use, like a muscle. We don’t seem to know a lot about what the grey matter that makes up most of the brain volume is for or how much different people’s brains vary. I think we will know much more about those things in the next 10 years.

Yeah. This is one area of science that is advancing very rapidly at the moment. We’re just starting to have tools and methods available that allow scientists to understand how the brain really works.
