I would have to advise everybody in the audience to wear appropriate eye-protection – which would make it slightly less cool.
I have fired lasers at different fruit, which is one things Drs do early on in their training or when testing out a new way of holding the laser. It would take a very long time to cut all the way through it.
Not that I’m aware of. When I was at uni, they had a laser that could cut through vegetables in a few seconds, and there are big laser cutters that cut metal, so I’d be surprised if someone hasn’t thought about it – I guess it depends on whether he got his wife to agree!
