• Question: if you were promoted in your job what would you want it to be?

      Hi Jessie,
      Good question. For us university lecturers there are basically four ‘grades’. The first is Lecturer (what i am now), then Senior Lecturer, then Reader, then Professor. In all four job positions you do the same thing (research and teach)… its just that you get promoted after a certain time assuming your research has gone well, and your teaching goes well too. I hope to make it to Senior lecturer in the next year or two.

    thankyou for answering my question it will help me alot for choosing my job in year eleven i think i want to be a scientist in womens health but also to be a scientist in the lab of a hospital im not to sure yet but maybe that answer will help me choose. :p
