      Hi monica12,
i’ve always loved science from the day i got my first chemistry set at christmas when i was about 9. I always remember playing with it on the kitchen table, my mum had made me a white coat and i felt like a proper grown up. Science is about constantly learning and finding out new things, its part of everyday life and i love every minute of it.
When did you know you liked science?

I think I have been interested in science for a long time. I was certainly a very inquisitive child and would quite happily spend ages taking things apart or finding out about stuff – I used to take flowers to bits to see what they were made of. And like James I loved my first chemistry set – but I think I liked asking about the world around me and wanting to know why things happened long before that.

Science doesn’t have to be complicated to enjoy or be interested in. Even the small things can be fascinating. I’m still fascinated by bumble bees – how do they fly?
