We need science to tell us about the world we live in. There is fundamental science. It searches the Universe driven by pure curiosity. There is also applied science. This takes the laws of sciences (like the law of gravity) and applies them (to obtain principles, like Bernulli’s principle). Engineers than take scientific principles and use them to create equipment. Business people then produce and sell the products. Science is therefore at the basis of the pyramid of how we build things and services in society. Science creates finally a better life for ourselves.

Because aren’t you curious about how things were formed? How do they work? How could you make them better? 😉

Science is all about understanding the stuff we don’t understand yet. Science is pretty fun by itself, but you also get the useful side effect of cures for diseases and great inventions (computers etc)

If we didn’t have science, we’d be stuck in the Dark Ages! There’d be no lights, no electricity, no telephones, no cures for any diseases, no cars, no aeroplanes… essentially the life you enjoy now would not exist!
