      Hi Emz,
In my case tt is a bit of both feelings. Some days I think “I am so wasting my time” some other are more exciting and I think am actually up to something useful.

Sometimes it is frustrating when the experiments don’t work. You just have to keep pushing. Finding a way that does not work it’s still valid information, experience.

Things are always going wrong in an experimental laboratory. That’s the nature of the beast. Equipment breaks, cables fall out of sockets, buttons fall off, fuses blow… You just have to put your head down and fix the problem and believe that when it’s all up and running, excellent results will be just around the corner!
