      Hi Ellie,
      It could be multiple things:

      1) Infection.
      2) injury, including self-induced by nose picking
      3) Allergy.
      4) High blood pressure
      5) use of medications that make you nose bleeds

Remember, if you have a bleeding nose stay upright, rather than lying down, as this reduces the blood pressure in the blood vessels of your nose and will discourage further bleeding

There are lots of tiny blood vessels close to the surface of the skin in your nose. Also the blood pressure in that area is pretty high because lots of blood is on its way to your brain. If a few of those vessels get scratched or infected, they can get little holes in and blood falls out 🙁 It’s easy to do and it’s not a problem if it happens occasionally, but if it’s more regular please go tell your doctor.
