I do think that animals are a huge part of our every-day lives and they also serve an extremely important role in research. Without animals, some diseases would still be without treatments. I think animals are a critical part of medical research: before scientists can develop ways to treat a disease in both humans and in animals, they need to deeply and fully understand every aspect of the condition. In my opinion, animals are extremely useful in research because they allow scientists to learn more about diseases; to discover more effective methods of diagnosing, treating, and curing diseases that affect both humans and animals; and to ensure the safety of new medical treatments and procedures. Researchers conducting animal testing take really good care of every animal and provide the highest level of quality of care.
I agree with the testing. The higher goal is to have treatment for humans, even if animals unfortunately suffer for that. Though nowadays they may suffer less than in the past.
It’s obviously mean to deliberately hurt anyone or anything. However we breed mice specially for testing so they are basically tools to do a job. It’s not like we take people’s pets or animals off the street and experiment on them. I think in the grand scheme of things, testing on a few mice who are made to do the job is far more preferable than having diseases run wild across the world, affecting every person.
