      Yes, I think that global warming is incredibly important. If the temperature of the earth continues to increases, then weather will start getting really violent (we’re already seeing this a bit) and it will be much more difficult to grow food.

      When food is limited, I’m nervous that countries will start fighting over what’s left.

    I thought I’d wade in because I recognised your name Juliet! Global warming is a big deal because so many things could go wrong. Nature is a very delicate thing and, even though life does tend to go on no matter what problems if faces (mass extinctions, ice ages, asteroid collisions…), it takes a LONG time to recover. Humans have only been around for about 10,000 years, which is a tiny blip on the whole of Earth’s 4.5BILLION year existence, but we’ve begun to ruin the planet in just the last hundred years! That’s terrible! Surely if there’s anything at all we can do to stop it we must try.
